1. Introduction

Lisliv ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Lisliv handles your data when you use our mobile application. We operate with a "privacy-by-default" approach, meaning your data stays under your control.

2. Data We Collect & How We Use It

Local Data (Primary)

By default, all personal data—including tasks, notes, medications, chores, and events—is stored locally on your device using an encrypted database. We do not have access to this data.

Shared Data & Cloud Sync (Optional)

If you choose to use the "Share Category" or "Join List" features, the app uses Supabase to synchronize specific list items between devices.

• Anonymous Authentication: To enable syncing, the app creates an anonymous account. No email or password is required.
• Synchronized Content: Only items within the shared category (titles, status, and custom attributes) are uploaded to our secure cloud database.
• Control: You can stop sharing at any time, which will remove the data from the cloud.

3. Voice & AI Processing

Lisliv utilizes a hybrid approach for voice transcription and smart organization to balance privacy, performance, and battery life:

• On-Device AI (Local): When using the local AI model (such as Gemini Nano via Android AICore), your voice recordings are processed entirely offline on your device. The app may prompt you to download this model, which requires device storage and memory. You can manage or delete this model at any time via the app settings.
• Cloud AI Providers (Fallback/Auto-mode): If you configure external providers (Groq or Google Gemini API) or if the app switches to "Auto" mode to conserve battery power, voice data is sent directly to your chosen provider. This requires you to provide your own API key, which is stored securely in your device's hardware-backed keystore. Lisliv does not intercept, store, or monitor these transmissions.

4. Permissions

To provide its features, Lisliv requests the following permissions:

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Used solely to record voice notes for AI transcription. Recordings are processed and then handled based on your settings (deleted immediately or stored locally).
• Camera: Used exclusively for scanning barcodes to identify products in shopping or diet lists. No images are uploaded to our servers.
• Notifications & Alarms: Used to provide reminders for tasks and medication schedules.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control over your data retention:

• Local Data & AI Models: You can delete your personal data or downloaded local AI models at any time through the app settings, or by clearing the app's storage and uninstalling the app.
• Cloud Data: Shared lists can be deleted by the owner via the app settings, which removes the data from our cloud instances.
• Backups: You can export a full database backup at any time. We do not store these backups; you are responsible for their security.

7. Children's Privacy

Lisliv does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not require accounts with personal identifiers, we do not track the age of our users.
